Day 1 of the PhD Thesis Bootcamp at the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), University of Ghana, took place with a vibrant and supportive atmosphere aimed at helping doctoral candidates advance their thesis writing. This recurring bootcamp event focuses on encouraging students who feel stuck or challenged in their research writing, providing them with practical guidance and motivational support. The event was expertly managed by Mrs. Esi Benyiwa Idan Osam Doe-Sallah, Assistant Registrar and Head of the Thesis Office, alongside Prof. Patrick Amoateng, Vice-Dean of SGS, serving as the masters of ceremonies.

The day featured an inspiring screening of "From Thesis to Publication," a video presentation by Heiko L. Schoenfuss, PhD, U.S. Fulbright Scholar, which offered insightful advice on navigating the transition from thesis writing to scholarly publication. This resource provided attendees with clear strategies and motivation to overcome common academic hurdles and finish their doctoral journey successfully.

The bootcamp reflects SGS's strong commitment to graduate student success by fostering a collaborative environment that equips candidates with the tools to excel academically. The University of Ghana takes pride in hosting such impactful events that not only enhance research skills but also create a community of motivated scholars ready to contribute to knowledge advancement. Students who have yet to participate are encouraged to consider future opportunities to benefit from this valuable program designed to transform their thesis experience.
