THESIS/DISSERTATION SUBMISSION FOR OCTOBER

I write to remind you that the next available period for submission of theses and dissertations to the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is October 17 - 31, 2016.

 

Theses/Dissertations should be submitted to the School of Graduate Studies during the above-mentioned period from 9:00am to 12:30 pm and 2pm to 4:30pm each working day. In submitting the theses/dissertations, please ensure that each student’s thesis/dissertation is accompanied by the following documents:

 

         i.            A fully completed and signed thesis submission form (copy of form is attached)

       ii.            A fully completed data sheet on proposed examiners if not already submitted to the School of Graduate Studies (please find attached a copy for ease of reference, and the list of examiners compiled from datasheets submitted by your department to School of Graduate Studies)

      iii.            A copy of the letter from the SGS granting extension (for students on extension only)

     iv.            In the case of a student submitting a previously referred thesis for re-examination, a copy of the letter informing the student that the thesis was referred must be attached.

       v.            A copy of the re-admission letter from SGS (for students on re-admission).

     vi.            A certified fee statement from the Student Accounts Section of the Academic Affairs Directorate

    vii.             A soft copy (PDF and Microsoft Word format) of the whole thesis/dissertation on CD with student ID indicated on it.

  viii.            An oral examination report including the approved individual score sheets (copy attached) for MPhil students

     ix.            A report to prove that the thesis/dissertation has been passed through the turnitin plagiarism software.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Please note that theses/dissertations without the above supporting documents would not be accepted by the SGS. All theses/dissertations must be signed by candidates and supervisor(s) before submission to SGS.
