PhD oral examinations for the 7th Cohort of PhD candidates for the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) are underway at the School of Graduate Studies from April 23 to April 27 2018. Three students, Isata Kamanda (Sierra Leone), Zakaria Deini (Burkina Faso) and Mustapha Sanatu Alidu (Ghana) examined on first day, successfully defended their theses.

External examiners have come from institutions such as Africa Rice-Côte d’Ivoire, IITA-Nigeria, University of Ibadan-Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello University-Nigeria, Crops Research Institute-Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, University of Port Harcourt-Nigeria, Obafemi-Awolowo University-Nigeria, CIAT-Columbia, and IER-Mali.
